 [Tokyo] Kagurazaka- Part 1

Hi, I'm onedaytrip. Today, I'll guide you Kagurazaka is a neighbourhood in Tokyo, So before we get started, I want to let you all know the history of Kagurazaka.

The main road of Kagurazaka was once at the outer edge of Edo Castle, opposite the Ushigome bridge over the castle moat, and has always been busy because of this privileged location.

In the early 20th century, the area was renowned for its numerous geisha houses, of which several remain today.

Currently, Kagurazaka is experiencing a poupularity boom due to its traditional atmosphere on the edge of modern Shinjuku ward.

Kaguraza is also widely regarded as an important center of Japanese cuisine within the Kanto region.

Several old and famous ryotei are to be found in the winding back streets, often accessible only by foot.

These provide expensive kaiseki cuisine, generally regarded as the pinnacle of Japanese food.

First, take Toei oedo line(E) and get off at the Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05).

This is Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05) station.

After you get out of the station, You should walk around.

You can see a different life from general Tokyo life, which is incredibly busy and crowded.

When you enter the main road here, you can see various kinds of shops and Japanese tradition lantern along the street.

Every corner of the street can sense various Kagurazaka, which is where the present and the past coexist.

You can also feel the emotions of young people through graffiti.

[Tokyo] Yoyogi Park

 [Tokyo] Yoyogi Park

Hi, I'm onedaytrip. Today, I'll guide you Yoyogi Park is one of the biggest parks in Tokyo.

So before we get started, I want to let you all know the history of 'Yoyogi Park'.

Yoyogi Park stands on the site from where the first successful powered aircraft flight in Japan took place by Captain Yoshitoshi Tokugawa on 19 December 1910.

The area later became an army parade ground. From September 1945, the site housed the military barracks known as the "Washington Heights" for U.S. officers during the Allied occupation of Japan.

The park is a popular Tokyo destination. On Sundays, it is especially busy when it is used as a gathering place for Japanese rock music fans, jugglers, comedians, martial arts clubs, cosplayers and other subculture and hobby groups.

In spring, thousands of people visit the park to enjoy the cherry blossom during Hanami

The landscaped park has picnic areas, bike paths, cycle rentals and public sport courts.

Please get off at the F 15 called Meiji-jingumae 'Harajuku'. Next to Yoyogi Park, there is a Meiji shirine.

So if you have time, please look around.

When you get out of the station and walk up the street, You can see the crosswalk. This is in front of Meiji Shirine.

The number of people here are as much as Shinjuku crosswalk. The place where we should go is Yoyogi Park, not here.

Yoyogi Park is located on the left.

If you get into the park, you can spend time on a good enviornment. Drinking or eating is permitted and activity is allowed too.

It is the best place to spend a happy time with your family, friends and lover.

You can feel relaxed in the sunlight, because there are plenty of places to sit here.

And also you can see many people who read books often under the tree.

There are spaces for dogs to run in Yoyogi Park. It's divided into two sections that are for small dogs and big dogs.

If you have your dog, I suggest you take time to pass along with dogs.

If you look around the wide Yoyogi Park, You will find food trucks near the fountain at the exit.

I recommend Prappe there. If you are from France or Europe, You can feel homesick for a moment with this.

So far, You've seen Yoyogi Park.
